Sufficient fiber in your diet is also a key on how to lose stomach fat. Fiber will help your system to digest food quicker and better thereby raising your metabolism. There are other benefits to fiber such as lower cholesterol levels. The inclusion of fiber rich foods has many benefits for your health. With heart disease a concern for many today, fiber has been shown to reduce the risk. Foods with sufficient amount of fiber that are excellent to include in your meals are; peas, bran, lentils, squash and oatmeal. Fiber rich foods are generally lower in calories also giving you an added benefit toward reaching your fat loss goal.  Fiber will be a necessary addition to your diet in order to lose belly fat.

Low Fat Foods 

Another step in how to lose stomach fat is reducing the amount of fat in your diet. This doesn’t mean cutting out fat altogether because fat is a good source of energy for the body. Besides, cutting out all fat is not good for your metabolism or health. About one third of all calories in your meals should be from foods containing fat. If you cut out all fat from your diet you’re your metabolism will rely solely on carbohydrates for energy and not burn fat. Excellent low fat foods to consider adding to your balanced meals are; cottage cheese, tofu, rice, strawberries and bananas. Try mixing it up a bit and includes these low-fat foods in your meals.
