Lose Weight Fast - Tips

1.      It is very beneficial to keep a journal record of what you eat and drink. It only necessary to record what you have eaten and the quantity. Keeping a journal will help you keep on top of your diet, allowing you to create healthy meals for the week ahead.

2.      Add a good low fat protein source to most of your meals. The best sources of protein are fish, a breast of chicken, cottage cheese, beans, low fat yogurt etc. Other sources are eggs, red meat and nuts, but these should not be eaten every day.

3.      Consume two portions or more of fresh fruit and preferably whatever fruit is right for the season. This can be consumed as a desert or even a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack.

4.      It is a must to decrease fat intake. Drink skimmed milk instead of full fat milk. Eat sugar free, fat free or lower fat cheese and yogurt.

5.      It is a must to decrease your pure fat intake by half to ensure you can lose weight fast. So, cut out or halve your butter or margarine on bread or potatoes etc. Again, cut out or reduce the amount of sauces, such as mayonnaise or salad sauce or even the oil you use in the frying pan (try using Olive oil).

6.      Always have at least one meal per week that is based on whole grains, vegetables and beans, which excludes meat or cheese. This will increase your chances to lose weight fast by increasing your fiber and reducing fat.

7.      Try to cut out sweet sugary food stuffs, such as chocolates, desserts, cakes, biscuits and other 'bad' carbohydrates, etc. One to two treats a week may be fine, but the less sugary foods you consume, the quicker you get to you desired weight and you can lose weight faster.

8.      Snacks during the day, but just only on healthy foods, like a grated carrot, salad, protein drink, fruit or the like. It is better to 6 or 7 times per day on smaller portion to build your fat burning metabolism.

9.      Try to drink up to 8 or 10 glasses of water per day (around 6 pints) and cut out any fizzy soft drinks and alcohol, even ‘diet’ drinks, that will on give you cravings for sugar. Alcohol is full of dead nutrients (‘bad carbohydrates’), and will only turn to fat. If you find it difficult to drink this much water, try and add some lemon a glass of hot water.

10. Make adjustments to plan your meals in advance, starting from the supermarket. Make a list of your required meals for the week ahead and stick to it. 

11. Make sure you have two portions of Vegetables during your meals, as they are full off nutrients. You can have more if you still feel hungry.

12. It is very important to ensure that you consume good quantities of whole grain foods whenever you can. Fiber makes you feel full up, depresses hunger and makes digestion easier.
